A thorough history and evaluation of environmental exposure, alongside your full symptom picture — with a straightforward explanation of what we do and don't know.
Mold exposure is a real environmental concern, and some people do experience allergic or respiratory reactions to mold in their home or workplace — that part is well established. What's more controversial is “mold toxicity” or “mold illness” as a broad explanation for chronic, multi-system symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, and joint pain. This framework is not currently recognized as a standard diagnosis in conventional medicine, and some of the testing and treatment protocols marketed around it aren't well supported by evidence.
That doesn't mean your symptoms aren't real, or that environmental exposure is irrelevant. It means we approach the question carefully: a thorough history of your home and work environment, evaluation of respiratory and allergic symptoms, and a broader workup to identify what's actually driving how you feel — rather than assuming mold explains everything, or dismissing it outright.
If there's a clear source of ongoing exposure, addressing that environment matters regardless of the underlying mechanism. Beyond that, we focus on the evidence-based part of your evaluation.
We start with a detailed history of your environment and symptoms, evaluate for allergic and respiratory reactions where relevant, and run a broader workup to look for other explanations — hormonal, inflammatory, or otherwise — for symptoms like fatigue and brain fog. We won't oversell an unproven protocol, but we also won't dismiss a real concern without looking into it.
If symptoms are present, we test inflammatory markers directly rather than assuming a single cause.

Explore Functional Medicine"Patients bring up mold exposure a lot, and I take the question seriously — but I also owe them an honest answer about what the evidence actually supports. We evaluate real exposure and real symptoms carefully, without selling a protocol that isn't backed by good science."
