Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA) works through the same core mechanism as Botox and Dysport — relaxing the muscles responsible for expression lines — but it's manufactured without the accessory proteins that surround the active toxin in other formulations. Some patients are drawn to this “naked” formula specifically, including those who've developed resistance to other botulinum toxin products, since the theoretical risk of developing neutralizing antibodies may be lower without those additional proteins.
In terms of results, onset, and duration, Xeomin performs very similarly to Botox for most patients. The meaningful difference is in formulation, not typically in how the treatment feels or how long it lasts.
